The HAMR Thursday Race League is here!

Thursday Race League (TRL): FOUR Unique Races at various HSV Locations, ONE Awesome Party!

Sign up for just one, all four at a discounted price, or any number in-between. As always, our Thursday Race League is for HAMR members only!

Our famous award rocks will be given out at the series finale for the top 3 racers in each category who completed all four races in the series.

Medals/smaller awards for 1st through 3rd place in each category will be given out after each race.

Current and prior year results can be found here!

Current racer registration list (updated periodically).

Step One:

All participants must be current members of HAMR via the IMBA site. This will be verified prior to you receiving your packet during pick-up. Look for SORBA - Huntsville as your local chapter.

Step Two:

Register!

Note that we will race if at all possible if weather/trail conditions warrant doing so. For the safety of riders and protection of trails, if the weather and trail conditions are too extreme, we will have one rain makeup date per race, listed below. If after the rain dates, we still have not found suitable conditions, that race will be canceled, and series points will be based only on the races that could occur.

-Your Age is your age on December 31st of the current year.
-The E-bike category is for Class I e-bikes (no throttle) only.
-The Clydesdale category is for those that would weigh greater than 220 pounds in their "birthday suit" at the time of registration (don’t make us bring out a scale!)
-Race organizers reserve the right to combine/split categories
-Long Courses will average 4-7 miles. Short Courses will average 3-5 miles. The Long Courses may also be more technical/challenging in some instances - be prepared to ride anything up to a Double Black level trail! Short Courses will typically trend toward Blue-level difficulty.

-You MUST ALSO be a current SORBA-Huntsville (HAMR) member via IMBA. This will be verified at packet pickup before you receive your number (see step one!).

-Junior entries (those 18 years old or younger) are FREE again this year! Enter the code “JUNIORS24” at check-out. Juniors must be HAMR members, and MUST have a printed copy of the waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian with them at packet pick-up to receive their number! NO exceptions!

Packet pickup for ALL races will be on June 6th as part of our 2nd Quarter Members’ Meeting and Social! If you can’t make that, pickup will also occur from 5:00 until 5:30 before each race. You will receive one shirt and one number plate regardless of number of races entered. Do NOT be late to pick up your plate if you are not available June 6th.

Results Calculations

Individual races will be based on raw times. The laps race will be based on number of laps completed within the time allowed, then raw times.

Series awards will be calculated on a points-based system again this year.

-First place = 100 points, 2nd place = 99 points, 3rd place = 98 points, etc.
-All four races (or number of races offered if less than four) must be COMPLETED to count for series awards. Points will be added together for series totals.
-Tie breakers: If racers in contention for series awards have the same number of series points, the number of laps during the laps race is an automatic tie breaker. The racer with the higher number of laps completed in the time allowed will win. If number of laps is equal, raw time across all four races will be used to break ties.
